1. Month of “Consciousness”(June
27 to July 24,2008)
“Consciousness” is the
last and 13th month of Peace calendar, which has been adopted by
World Peace Technology Institute from July 26 to august22, 2007
(Gregorian calendar)-the first month “Peace” of 13 months 28 days
moon civil calendar. The time calendar of peace begins with the
month of “Peace” (which may please be referred to PPF of the month
of “Peace”( July 26 to August 22, 2007) and passes through
flow of time with 28 days a month with name of months that |

to establish “healing,
purifying and unifying” process for the humanity and the universe as
a whole. Such a process is capable of transforming conflict before
it escalates into violence. Peace is positive, active, infinite and
dynamic which is expressed through the “names” of 13 months of Peace
calendar. |
|
|
The last and 13th
month of Peace calendar “Consciousness” progressively evolves to
“Peace”-the first month of Peace calendar. |
|

Peace calendar |
“Consciousness”
came from the Latin word “conscire”, which means inward alertness or
awareness. Several meanings of this word are emerging with
advancement of human civilization like “self-aware ness”
“meta-consciousness, “Feeling” and so on. Life itself is a
continuous cycle of states of consciousness. The “real-self” is the
unconditional consciousness, but the humans still believe in
“conditioned consciousness” which is one of the key reasons of
truncated personality dominated by “inner violence” leading to
attitude of conflict, injustice and deriving satisfaction /happiness
by inflicting injury on others. |
|
With only “real-self” consciousness, “collective consciousness” can
be developed. Understanding the deepest structure of self may be
achieved by establishing relation to the exterior world with social
dimension, social condition, interactive consciousness ,conceptual
roots, feelings/emotion and above all with pyramidal structure
of energy(from Matter-energy to Absolute Energy of Consciousness)
and the eternal laws of Universe as well as the Ecology. |
|
Neuroscientists tell us that consciousness evolved along with
brain, from the rudimentary beginning of organic life. It is
also a part of genetic-cultural co-evolution. It can be better
understood as a “real-self” form of self-awareness- a support
structure which free the human beings from the imprisonment of
momentary impulses and immediate environmental impact and enable us to yearn |

fruitlessly for the “Ultimate Reality”
of life-“The Peace”. Thus last month of Peace Calendar
“Consciousness” move us forward to the first month Peace Calendar-
PEACE corresponding to present Gregorian calendar time from July 26

2.
Happiness and Peace for Social Order
Happiness
is one of the components of “Matter” of Peace, besides security and
comfort. True happiness is a stepping stone to peace- the ultimate
reality of life. It revolves around the concept of “Utilitarianism”
and “fundamental Moral values” of human action. The theory of
Utilitarianism, the supreme good is the greatest happiness of
greatest number is gradually becoming invalid. It is well known
today that the richest man of the world may not be the happiest one. Desire is the crucial

determinant of
happiness. We have to differentiate between happiness and pleasure.
Pleasure is short term where as happiness is for a longer time.
Acquisition of material goods normally leads to pleasure, which some
time we confuse with happiness. A good ratio between “satisfaction
of desires” and “total number of desires” is also perceived as
happiness. Desires are unlimited in the utilitarian concept.

within
the framework of whole world of desire, purpose, morality,
education, positivity and ethical institutional life and
social order may lead to some degree of happiness. Increasing
and limitless desires perhaps may yield more pain than
happiness/pleasure. It is time now to adopt with consensus
that only acquisition of more and more goods of matter de
linking from all other aspects of life will not bring
happiness. |
|
Happiness consists in the aggregate of all “matter” and
“antimatter” goods properly ordered. A child symbolizes
perfect entity of happiness from the stage of his birth till
the time of interface with”matter goods.” Till this time,
there is no desire in the body-mind entity of the baby but all
the needs both “matter” and “antimatter” for survival and
growth are “self-fulfilled” through the supporting structure
of mother, father and other family members. When the baby
grows up she/he comes in touch with
more matter goods in family, school
and external environment, a sense
of addiction develops |

which not only result in unhappiness but produce many complex
problems including attitude of violence; affecting adversely the
intellect-emotion-spirit with a skewed consciousness. Problems like
crimes of passion, distorted relationship, virtual pleasure,
mad-race for money at the cost of all other determinants of happy
life etc emerge.

A child grows in a society, which is changing since evolution
of mankind. Depending on the social order humans are molded
influencing their behavior and interface with various social
forces prevalent at a particular point of time. It is said
that we now have six times purchasing power than our parents.
In spite of higher economic power, there is decline in degree
of happiness. Life has become more transient in the present
era of globalization with increasing violence in different and
new forms, which is stratifying the human family instead of
consolidating it as one world one human family.
It has further
created few islands of prosperity amidst large mass
of poverty. The prosperity is not |

accompanied by peace
as a result violence like terrorism is spreading its roots through
out the world at a faster rate. In such a global social order
individual rights and liberties are subjected to coercive state
instead of providing security for persons and their properties.
Justice, equality, empathy and conflict/dispute resolution mechanism
etc are not able to operate in time as a result there is chaos in
the society instead of order. The |

Globalization
|
disintegration of social order is further accentuated by mostly
negative values and norms that the individuals somehow have managed
to internalized. With such disorderliness in society, happiness
remains a distant dream, in spite of increased mobility,
connectivity, and high technology and prosperity. Such a state of
affair in today’s globalization era may lead to “fundamentalist
individualism” destroying the societal functions, like mutual
dependency, visibility, extensiveness, groups
and networks, honor, values and norms and the most vital “the
order”. The human will |

be transformed to a
money-earning robot, which will have no subtle or causal body. All
the roots of spirit and emotion will be redundant. |
|
|
Recently, a team of researchers in Europe have deliberated on
happiness and cost of producing it in terms of money. They have
questioned 10,000 people in Europe to find out effects of money
and life style on emotion including happiness and satisfaction.
In particular, the respondents were asked things which give them
happiness. The feed back of respondents were weighed in a
Life-satisfaction scale of one (almost suicidal) to seven
(euphoric). With these data, they calculated how far changes in
life style and social relationships would
move the average person up |

in the scale and
then put a “price” on social and life style factors. The reality
has emerged- that is the money people earned made a relatively
minor contribution to the level of personal happiness. The
researchers also concluded that materialistic values are
counter-productive over time, rather they heighten insecurity, a
main cause of unhappiness.

The research
findings highlight that the life style issues to acquire happiness
are-
1) Fit and
healthy bodies-excellent health was the equivalent of roughly US$
600,000.0 per year.
2) Meeting
friends frequently worth US$12,5000.0
3) Living with
some one-worth US$10,5000.0
4) Married life
worth US$10,5000.0
5) Chatting
regularly with neighbors worth US$800,000.0 |

Thus the researchers infer that the importance of income and
exercise of power have very little to do with happiness in life.
Such result of the research was expected. It is not some thing new.
In AD 785 Abd Er-Rahman emir of Co’rdoba wrote the following lines
towards end of his life-

“I have now reigned 50
years….beloved by my subjects, dreaded by my enemies and respected
by my allies. Riches and honors, power and pleasure have waited on
my call, nor does any earthly blessings appear to have been wanting
my felicity. In this situation, I have diligently numbered the days
of pure and genuine happiness which have fallen to my lot. They
amount to fourteen. |

|
The lasted is about Bill Gates one of the most richest man of
the world. On June 20, 2008 he has announced to donate all his
material assets worth about US$580, 00.0 millions for the global
community welfare. Why sudden change of mind set of the one of the
most affluent man of the world? I interpret it as true
“self-realization” ,who only at the age of 52 understood “I” of his
body for entering the “happiness and peace” circle of his life to
enjoy true happiness and peace within his ”I” and contributing the
same to the universe and the humanity |

This was the Truth. This is the Truth today and also the future.
This is the eternal Truth. |
|
Thus the present style of Globalization is not in conformity with
the norms and laws of social order, happiness and peace. But still
the humans are pursuing it understandingly or not about its final
output which will be devastating in nature. Should we now modify it
now or wait till the wipe out of humans from the Biosphere-when
there will be no body to tell the tale of humanity? |

Peace
Technology |
Let us be rational and truthful. Now we are not playing about other
lives, but we are playing with our own lives and endangering the
lives of our future generations. Mid-term corrections need to be
applied immediately to put the rail of globalization on the right
track. The only right track is infusing and incorporating “Peace and
its technologies” as an input in the construction of the track. I am
advocating this humanized technology since 2002 with publication of my first book of “Peace Technology”. And
subsequently my

the notice of world citizens living in almost

e-technology. Consciousness is slowly rising to imbibe this spirit
of Peace and to use it as an input of all kinds of human activities
to build a sustainable and peaceful future. |

However in this
issue of PPF, I have tried to justify how happiness, a component of
Peace should be perceived and used as a development tool.
To sum up,
philosophically “Happy is the man who wants what he has”. From the
point of view of neuroscience, true happiness is the product of
hormones that paints

|
our subconscious.
Mental interpretation of three stages of life: our past memories,
current perception and future expectations determine the release of
such hormones. A person is
perpetually happy if his brain produces joyful hormones. However out
of three stages of life, the future is very crucial. Faith in happy
future can create enough hormones which can erase the factors of
unhappiness of the past and present. |

The law of
happiness based on the foundation-“If you want to stay happy then
you have to keep others happy”. The superstructure of happiness is
constructed with satisfaction of basic needs for All for healthy
survival, self-realization, developing a sense of enough ness,
pollution-free environment and one human family as the supporting
structure at all stages of life.
With true happiness,
the humans will be able to develop a sustainable Peace Culture which
will promote true sustainable development for the mankind for all
time to come. |

News and Views-
Gap between Advocacy and
the Reality- The “Pregnancy Pact” and UN call to “Stop violence against
women”-Leading to Social Anarchy globally
A report from Washington on June 20, 2008 highlights that 17 teen age US
school girls below the age of 16 of Gloucester High School, Massachusetts
entered into a pact to get pregnant together. They might have been
inspired by the Hollywood movies like “Juno” and “Knocked up”, which
glamorized unwed mothers. There may be many other reasons for such pervert
mind set. But in which direction the societies with prosperity
are |
|
progressing? It is undoubtedly a
backward progression. Christopher Farmer, the school superintendent
said in “Families are broken. Many of our young people are growing
up directionless”. There is now total anarchy in families and
societies all over the world. America innovated this most infamous
“Pregnancy Pact” and it is usually said that what America does
today, others do it tomorrow. The glaring example is the school
shoot outs. Let us not only watch and see but rest countries of the
world must take it seriously and initiate proactive policies to save
the families and societies from such inhuman violence. |

same day that is June 20, 2008, UN called upon to “stop
violence against women” and declared that “sexual violence
akin to war crimes”. The New Indian Express reported on June
21, 2008 the following-
“THE UN
Security Council affirmed on Thursday that rape and other
forms of sexual violence can constitute war crimes and called
for measures to combat such attacks. |

US Secretary of
State Condoleezza Rice introduced the US-sponsored resolution at a
special session attended by diplomats from 60 nations.
Rice said the
resolution brought can end to a debate about whether sexual violence
was a security issue and belonged on the council’s agenda.
She said: “This
world body now acknowledges that sexual violence in conflict zones
is indeed a security concern… We affirm that sexual violence
profoundly affects not only the health and safety of women, but the
economic and social stability of their nations.” |

Advocacy
|
The resolution
established UN procedures to monitor sexual violence in armed
conflict and called for the secretary general to report in one year
on their implementation. It also urges the UN to impose sanctions on
violators.
Advocacy groups pushed
the issue back onto the council agenda after China, Russia, and
South Africa said last year that sexual violence was an unfortunate
byproduct of war, and one that is addressed by a number of UN
agencies, but was not matter of international peace and security. |

The resolution also
urged the secretary-general to clamp down on peacekeepers who prey
on vulnerable women and children instead of protecting them. Despite
an attempt by the world body to revamp the regulation and culture
among peacekeepers and UN staff after incidents of sexual
exploitation over the last few years in Bosnia-Herzegovina, Liberia,
the Democratic Republic of Congo and other nations”

From the report it is
really surprising and unfortunate that some countries stated that
sexual violence was not a matter of international peace and
security.
I urge upon the
world citizens to counteract such perception which is suicidal for
the human society .Sexual Violence is one of the key reasons which
not only adversely affect societal order but it also seriously
disturb international peace and security.
Let us open up
and build a life-saving psychic and a strategy to minimize gap
between advocacy and reality. Time is running out. If we do not act
now, the prophecy that the world will come to an end by 2012 AD will
come true.
