For the months of “Justice” and “FREEDOM” |

MONTHS OF “JUSTICE” and “FREEDOM”
In human civilization
“change” is the basic constituent of “time” ,which determines the
quality of both biotic and abiotic components.” Peace” and
“violence” are two terminologies which in history have different
interpretation representing specific-time based values and meaning.
It is evident from the crude concept of “Peace and Violence” since
the appearance of homo sapiens 1.6 million years ago in the
biosphere, that change is always at flux including the present era
of globalization and terror. But unfortunately, the pace of change
is very slow. |

By the time “change”
materializes, new problems emerge to over take the change. As a
result ,humans start searching for new change. How long this will
continue? If this continues for a longer time, the future of
humanity is doomed. It may so happen that the humans may be wiped
out from the planet earth. |
|
|
Time is ripe now for
evolution of self-regulating sustainable change. We have to accept
the present era of globalization as a challenge dominated by
economic/social and other kinds of meltdowns accompanied by a new
phenomena of “terrorism” and transform it to an opportunity to
derive “change” which becomes self- regulating and sustainable to
benefit the human family culture. “Peace Technology” is one of the
IDEAS, I am advocating to design and adopt a process of sustainable
change to stimulate economic/social prosperity free of any kind of
violence/terror.

Adoption of “Peace
Calendar” is one of the basic ideas to bring about appropriate change in
the human culture. ”Justice” and “Freedom” are two months of Peace
Calendar in the global network of time to create a culture of global
peace.

Month of justice |
Justice is one
of the constituents of “Science of Spirituality”-Truth, Order, and
Harmony. Once this concept is adopted, justice will prevail
activating Peace culture. “Justice in time” provides an opportunity
to each and every citizen to live with dignity and peace. Punitive
order of justice should also be time-based to build the confidence
of the citizens. Justice has to deliver on right or wrong within a
framework of time limit ,which is dependent on diverse
culture/tradition of humanity. Commonality of right or wrong can be
absolutely evolved from basic humanitarian values and human rights.
Empathy, mutual understanding, equity without any discrimination etc
also should be built into justice system to promote ethical human
rights and responsibility. |

Construction of Peace is also dependent on “ethical
freedom”. Freedom should be guided by moral, reason and
violent-free norms of social and cultural structures.
Freedom be structured so that citizens thoughts and actions
are creatively constructive. National/International systems
need to be developed so that concept of “freedom” is not
used for creative destruction.
The
impulses of both the months of Justice” and “Freedom” structure
activate the neurons of human brain to contribute to the responses
of building a peaceful and humanitarian culture. |

(2) PEACE
AND HUMAN RIGHTS
In the 21st
century, it is an important task to redefine Peace. Its
meaning “absence of war” need to be supplemented. When we
look around the world today, we find total chaos, meltdowns
accompanied by high level of violence/terror etc. Some of
the facts justifying this statement are like- UNICEF
reported in 2006, the number of children under fourteen years of age who are |

suffering from
AIDS is 2.1 million. In some fifty poor countries such as Chad,
Guinea, Bissau, Sierra Leone, Liberia, Afghanistan, and
Somalia, one of every six children dies
before reaching the age of five, due to lack of health services like
vaccination, clean drinking water and malnutrition. These children
die of extreme poverty .Inter National Labor Organization(ILO)
published in 2005 that 126 million children in the world are engaged
in performing dangerous work. Hunger, shelterless ness, lack of
access to education, health facilities besides other basic
social-economic needs etc are not only dominating but increasing at
a faster rate giving rise to various kinds of |
violence against

violence.
Other issues like global warming, resource depletion and loss of
biosphere peace are speeding up further detoriating quality of human race.
Terrorism and other kinds of serious crimes like school shootouts
,genocide ,drug addiction, violence against women etc are also on
the rise.
How the present
definition of Peace can be justified when 75% wealth of the world is
in the hands of 1% of the population in the world .In developing
countries, power brokers give false promises to people and use
muscle and money power to grab power at the cost of all ethics and
values. In a country like India, millions of people are born
homeless. They get married on streets, live on streets
and die on streets, where as the most expensive and luxurious hotels
and homes exist for only five percent of the population. |

Science
of matter |
Redefining
Peace is the challenge of 21st century to face the
reality that humanity shares a common fate on a crowded
planet. It needs basically a holistic base on which all
human activities need to be redesigned. Thus Peace in
21st century is to be defined as convergence of “Science
of Matter”(Security from personal ,food, shelter,
livelihood and all other basic socio-economic needs;
comfort with a sense of enough ness and happiness) with
“Science of Spirituality”(Truth, Order and Harmony).
Spirituality as a Science has not been conceived by
humanity yet, as a result we are confronted with

|
kinds of meltdowns, terror and a process of
stratification of human family leading to a cruel and violent world.
Peace will not elude mankind, the moment “Science of Spirituality”
is adopted as objective and integrated with Science of Matter to
produce all kinds of products and services needed for prosperity and
comfortable living with a sense of enough ness. I am fully aware
that adoption of this CHANGE is extremely difficult unless some
leader/s with total self-less dedication and commitment to
humanitarian causes come forward to remold the human mindset |

and convince
the humans that this
is the only definition of Peace that will provide them at all levels
through creative constructive activities. In my humble way, I have
taken up this challenge and I hope in course of next few generations
this concept of Peace will be built into all human
endeavors/activities so that a violent/terror free world vibrating
with Peace Culture will emerge. |
|
|
With this new
definition of Peace, the framework of ethical peace is to be
constructed with humanitarian values and corresponding Human
Rights. Peace and Human Rights are two sides of one coin. |
|
|
Universal Declaration of Human
Rights (Articles 3,4,25 and 28)
announced that-
“ Every one has
the right to life, liberty, and security of persons…..No one shall
be subjected to torture or to cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment
and punishment…….Every one has the right to a standard of living
adequate for the health and wellbeing of himself and his family,
including food, clothing, housing, medical care and necessary social
services……Every one is entitled to a social and international order
in which……rights and freedoms can be fully realized.” |

On December 10,1948,UN
adopted and proclaimed Universal Declaration of Human Rights with 30
Articles. More than 60 years have passed since the Declaration ,but
unfortunately till date government’s/Nation’s obligation to ensure
implementation of the issues of Human Rights remain a distant dream
It is
now time in the beginning of 21st century to integrate Peace and
Human Rights and apply to all human activities relating to
development, poverty, livelihood and land, environment, education,
food, health, housing, the aged, children, differently abled,
discrimination, ethnicity, indigenous people, minorities, migrant
workers, race, refugees, reproductive health, religion, sexual
orientation, women, work and workers and disarmaments etc. |

Human Right issues are
to be deliberated and implemented with all seriousness by
governments which gain their legitimacy through votes of people and
respect for human rights and not through votes of people and voting
boxes. Humanitarianism is the foundation of human rights and are to
be applied to any civilization and culture. Violation of Human
Rights such as cultural relativism, religion and ideology etc should
be viewed as criminal action and should be strictly dealt with-even
to the dismissal of

such governments enjoying majority
.Democracy is “rule by people”. They have the power to
choose their leaders for living in a society
characterized by justice and freedom. But unfortunately
this is not happening. In most of Asian countries true
democracy eludes the region, mainly due to
non-integration of Peace and Human Rights components in
the development process. |
|
Today
development is unsustainable and violent as issues
relating Peace and Human Rights do not form integral
part of development. Development can only be sustainable
and “inclusive” with peace and human rights components.
Some of the ideas to achieve this are briefly
highlighted below-
*Converge
“Science of Matter” with “Science of Spirituality”.
*freedom
from torture and cruel in human treatment.
*freedom from
genocide, ethnic cleansing, and rape. |

*protection and
assistance to refugees especially environmental refugees and
women/children.
*live by rule of
law without any discrimination.
*freedom from
racial or sexual discrimination.
*freedom from all
kinds of violence/terror in domestic, community, rational,
national and global level.
*reinforcing
family life for strengthening the society.
*equality between
man and woman in all kinds of activities.
*freedom from
poverty.
*food, medical,
education care for all with easy access and affordability in
addition to basic social security services.
*reasonable
standard of living with a sense of enough ness discarding over
materialistic culture enjoyed by few people at the cost of
millions of needy people.
*the human right
to economic, political, social and cultural development which is
sustainable and ensure fair distribution of benefits to
individuals and peoples through the society.
*human rights to
share the benefits of scientific progress.
*human right to an
international environment for realization of development
capability.
*human right to
equality of opportunity and freedom from discrimination based on
gender, race, religion or any other status.
*human right to
equal access for all persons to productive resources, including
land, credit and technology.
*human right to
live in violent/terror free environment.
*human right to
prosperity with peace.
*human right to
live in pollution free environment and access to technology to
clean air, water, noise, and land pollution.
*human right to
develop IQ,EQ and SQ to make all kinds of development creatively
constructive.
In addition to
above there are many more rights to be derived from basic
Humanitarian Values

21st Century’s
serious problems of meltdowns and terrorism can only be solved with
the application of new definition and principles of Peace and Human
Rights. The “TIME” in its March 24,2006 issue has identified few
ideas that are changing the world. Some of the important ideas are
(1)Commonwealth-National aren’t what they used to be. Our survival
requires global solution.(2)The End of Customer Service-with
self-serve technology, you will never have to see a clerk again. (3) Reverse |

Radicalism- want to stop terrorism?
Start talking to terrorists who stop themselves.(4)Geoengineering-
Messing with Nature caused global warming .Messing with it more
might fix it. (5)Curing “Dutch Disease”-How resource-rich Nations
can unravel the paradox of plenty.(6)Aging gracefully-forget
conventional wisdom; gray-haired societies aren’t a
problem(7)Women’s work-tapping the female entrepreneurial spirit can
pay big dividends.
All such ideas are linked to status of Peace and Human Rights can
only be implemented successfully by applying the 21st definition of
Peace as advocated by me and adopting the human rights principles
within a global legal network.. |

Black Man in White House-What an Idea?
Change has come to America.
Barack Hussein Obama has been elected as first
African-American USA. On his victory Obama said “ If there
is anyone out there who still doubts that America is a place
where all things are possible, who still wonders if the
dream of our founders is alive in our times, who still
questions the power of democracy, tonight is your answer.
It’s been a long time coming, but tonight, because what we
did on this date in this election at the defining moment,
change has come to America” |

Obama |
This is a historic statement .Immediately “The Obama –Biden Plan”
has been organised to invite ideas from world over to bring change
to America, which will also influence the change of the entire
world. Till date No 1 IDEA voted is creation of “Department of
Peace and Non-Violence”. Yes this is the most urgent change not only
for America but for the citizens of all the countries of the world.
The new Department when set up must adopt the 21st century PEACE
definition and integrate with Human

.The principles of new definition of Peace must be applied through

based on holistic approach to solve any problem faced by humanity
